Baguio Local Buzzin’ Biz: Twine Crochet’s Eco-friendly Cotton Rounds

Everything Baguio

Hello, everyone! I know it’s been a while since my last blog. While I have been active on my other social media accounts, I missed writing blog posts! Here’s a new series of blogs where I’ll be featuring everything Baguio, from local brands to places. I do hope I can update this regularly (fingers crossed hehe).

Now enough with the little intro! Here’s my Baguio find; eco-friendly cotton rounds handcrafted by a small local business, Twine Crochet!

Cotton Rounds

What is it made of?

Twine Crochet’s cotton rounds are specially made from 100% cotton. It is primely picked by the artisan herself, Carol. She wants quality goods, of course, and that’s what we want beauties, too! Also, the yarn is tightly knit and I kid you not, it is soft on my skin! It is not rough or itchy!

Why I love Twine Crochet’s Cotton Rounds

Eco-friendly & saves money!

It’s eco-friendly because aside from its raw material, it’s reusable! I can’t believe how many times I bought disposable cotton rounds ever since I started applying makeup or got religious to skincare! I wasted Php60-100 per pack of cotton rounds every 3 weeks or month. As for the cotton rounds, I buy them once and that’s it! I can reuse it many times!

How to Take Care of your Cotton Rounds

Here’s how to take care of your cotton rounds; Once used, soak them in warm water with mild detergent. Like clothes, the makeup you removed it with can stain the cotton rounds. I personally use Ariel powder. It is mild, I just leave the cotton rounds overnight then I can easily gently rub it with my fingers and the makeup or dirt comes off!

I have been using these cotton rounds for about a month now, I don’t see any issues yet. Just hang it to dry with the natural heat of sunlight.

Here are some of the care instructions by Twine Crochet

Sayang, I missed the giveaway! I have been looking for alternatives pa naman to minimize my impact on the environment. Most probably, I’ll check their account nalang to browse their items, especially the cotton rounds. 🙂

  2. Oh my gosh! A solution to my problem, haha! Been buying single-use cotton rounds from the supermarket but they often feel rough (even the “softest” ones irritate my skin at times). Well, whaddya know?! I’m definitely trying these out! Thank you for this post! 😀

I’ve been addicted to crocheting for 2 months now and I’m loving it. Those cotton scrubbies you made are awesome and definitely ecofriendly.

  4. It’s my first time to hear of cotton rounds and at least we don’t get to use as much cotton as we do for skin care or make-up. Good to know it’s easy to clean and I assume it doesn’t irritate the skin naman, right?

Good luck sa mga joiners ng giveaway!
