Valencia's Restaurant

Valencia’s Restaurant is One More Food Trip You Must Try in Baguio City

Get ready for a gastronomic experience in Baguio City! Valencia’s Restaurant is another go-to family restaurant that will serve you good Baguio vibes while you bask in the weather, the scenic Pine Trees view while indulging in refined comfort food!

A Family-owned Restaurant

The  restaurant along Outlook Drive is the brainchild of a Bulacan-raised entrepreneur who runs a rice family business. Thus, the restaurant’s name, “Valencia’s” came from the owner’s family name. With that, the restaurant also aims to be known as a go-to family restaurant because of its big servings and home-y menu inspired by Spanish, Italian and Filipino cuisine.

Refined Comfort Drinks

Valencia’s thirst quenchers take a unique spin on brewed coffee as they offer Rice Coffee which is made with the grains from their family mill. The smooth sip comes with a rice aroma which is surprisingly indulgent the same as you love the common freshly brewed coffee. I prefer adding a teaspoon of sugar and a splash of milk to enhance the richness of the rice coffee flavor.

If you’re looking for a cold drink, Valencia’s Iced Tea will entertain you first as a shot glass of flavor is poured into the iced tea and changes its color from purple to fuchsia pink. The taste of course is equally refreshing.

Scrumptious Appetizers

I couldn’t get enough with Valencia’s Taro Nachos with salsa and garlic dips. I truly believe it’s the first in Baguio City to serve “gabi” chips! It’s just too good, I had to bring home some for myself! Also, dining in at any Baguio restaurant wouldn’t be complete without fresh vegetables like the Refreshing Watermelon Salad which was prepared with a bed of lettuce with feta cheese, fresh cilantro, and doused with balsamic reduction while the Pepper Steak Salad is a medley of steak and salad with tomatoes, home-grilled corn and balsamic vinaigrette. Valencia’s Restaurant will also soon offer pasalubong eats just like the Ready-to-Fry homemade Chicharon

Valencia’s Flagship Menu

The star of the table full of dishes is the Paella Valenciana. It’s their signature creation made specially with shrimp, cauliflower, chicken and chorizo bilbao over fresh vegetable produce and flavored rice with its burnt crust that I delightfully enjoyed scraping from the paellera. The truth is, sometimes it is quite difficult to find a restaurant in Baguio that really keeps the “tutong” of the paella which has really become the “standard”  ever since it was introduced to us by the Spaniards.

Valencia’s Restaurant is one more food trip you must try in Baguio City because they put their own flavor and heart in cooking when they refined the Bangus Ala Pobre! The milkfish is dressed with savory ensalada! The Kambing Express is also a star dish because of the braised tender goat meat in spicy coconut cream, served with highland vegetables. Creamy Salmon Tuscan, Eight Treasure Stir-Fry vegetables and Buffalo Chicken Wings are also equally filling. If you want a filling snack, they also have Valencia’s Burger! It is house special beef burger on brioche bun with cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato cucumber, served with country fries!

What’s Baguio without soup? Valencia’s also serves comforting soup dishes like Mami in Baguio which is full of ingredients like the fresh egg noodles with rich chicken broth in fried garlic, shitake mushroom, cilantro, spring onions topped with crispy liempo! If you think the main dishes stop there… Nope! Valencia’s also has a selection of pizzas! Valencia’s Signature Pizza is loaded with pepperoni and pesto cream cheese!

Delightful Breakfast

Valencia’s would be adding more on the menu just like Eggs Benedict and Dried Fish Trio with danggit, pusit, and espada. Aside from the meals, they also have their own bakery and the baked goods include Classic Ensaymada, Stollen Bread, glazed Parsley Cheese Bread and more! Take note, on weekends, Valencia’s opens for breakfast from 7:00 am to 9:00 am and you can dine and enjoy 10% off!

Room for Dessert

No one can ever say no for dessert! The eye-catcher and the best for me was the Valencia’s Chocolate Moist Cake and it was very decadent. As a baker myself, I know they used cocoa and made the perfect concoction to make the “bread” of the cake moist and chocolate-y! The Sizzling Brownie Ala Mode presented a stellar performance, too! The chocolate syrup was poured onto the brownie served in a hot skillet, to top it off with a very Baguio note, it was served with strawberry ice cream on top! Their Red Velvet Cake is very rich, too, best eaten with the Rice Coffee!
