I found new dishes to order at my next visit! I am always a fan of Hakaw, but the Sharksfin and Fried Prawn Dumplings would be added to my list! Also, the Seafood Spinach Soup was soooo good. Warm nostalgia
I haven’t eaten at King Chef Dimsum Kitchen ever since my mom passed in 2021. This place has always been our go-to for Hakaw and congee cravings. Going back here filled me up with a pang of pain but the ambience and the people I was with going back there turned that feeling around. I felt warmth and comfort as I sat down again on their cozy seats. Also, the sight of enthusiastic staff serving the dishes in a food cart is just so exciting and appetizing. I took it all in and thought of all the happiness for that day.
Flavorful and Tradition
Given its authentic Cantonese cuisine, I knew that the dishes would be traditional but it was an awesome reintroduction for me! My favorite would always be the Hakaw and other dimsums, also noodles but we were served with more dishes that could be my next staple orders. The Seafood Spinach Soup is the best starter for that gastronomic dining experience. French Beans with Salted Egg is definitely a runner up for me! The perfect fusion of flavor that I was surprised about is the Hot Shrimp Salad. I mean, a hot salad? I am so lucky I am not allergic to shrimps because I love this kind of seafood. I love the right amount of savory and sweetness of that dish. Of course, a special mention of a dimsum variant thatI would order on the next visit is the Fried Prawn Dumplings. That would balance out my Hakaw cravings!
