Embarking on a romantic journey with my husband, Joel, we discovered the enchanting Tudor in the Pines Lodges – a haven perfect for honeymooners, newlyweds, or couples seeking an idyllic escape, especially with Valentine’s Day just around the corner. Our stay at the Pine Cone Treehouse, nestled in the outskirts of Baguio City, turned out to be more than just a retreat; it was a celebration of love and tranquility.

The Treehouse Experience
Have you ever dreamed of reliving the nostalgic thrill of childhood treehouses? The Twin Glass Treehouse at Tudor in the Pines allows you to do just that, with a modern twist. The charming atmosphere, coupled with the modern amenities, made our stay truly magical. The walkway to the tree house is quite a challenge. If you are afraid of heights just like me, it’s going to be adventurous! You have to pass through a bridge. It reminds me of a childhood movie, Bridge to Terabithia. Nonetheless, passing that bridge is fun and I got the hang of it already.

What’s new in Tudor?
A lot has changed when we first stayed in Tudor in the Pines in January 2020. Indeed, our group jump started the online presence of Tudor In the Pines! Anyways, what’s new? They now have a small workout facility. With a few jump ropes, dumbbells, bench press and exercise bicycle, fitness buffs would surely love this feature. My husband and I utilized that space for our morning workouts.
Tudor in the Pines also upgraded their landscapes. More flowers.. Well, just MORE PLANTS. There are a few outdoor tables, chairs and shades where guests can enjoy the classic Baguio cool breeze. A Plantuary was also added in their garden which is also really lovely! They made the estate more lush, foliage-rich and overall breathtaking.
By the way, the watchtower is not new but it is my first time climbing up and I got so scared as it got higher. I swear, I stopped recording my video and composed myself for a bit. Haha! But I made it up there and had a super quick photo!
The Retreat Experience
Our retreat at Tudor in the Pines was nothing short of magical. The serene and relaxing ambiance provided the ideal setting for relaxation and rejuvenation. It was here that I realized the importance of a good night’s sleep, free from the sometimes chaotic daily life.
The highlight of our stay was being able to spend quality time with my husband. Although we stayed in the treehouse, we also bonded with some of our friends who stayed at other lodges. We happily spent time also with our friends for soulful days of camaraderie over food and fellowship.
The place is just serene and relaxing, no fuss, no smoke, no unnecessary noises especially at night. I was able to retreat also with my journaling routine and a bit of watercolor painting.

Where to find Tudor in the Pines
Location: 17 Lower Balacbac Road, Sto. Tomas, Baguio City, Philippines. You may commute through jeepney if you like. The jeepney station is at Otek St., near Rizal Monument, ask to be dropped 200meters after the barangay hall. There is actually a waiting shed a few steps away from Tudor. The landmark is there is a tall grey watchtower and a gated big black gate just along the road. For convenience of those riding a cab or has their own car, you may opt to follow Google Maps:
